[RESULTS UP!!!!] ASSIGNMENT 6 ~Into the Future~

Elasticgirl Comments: I really like your photo Charlie! I think you did an excellent job capturing the main aspect of this photo and I love the dress you edited in addition to the pose. It is very high fashion! But then again, your model’s face does not emote any type of emotions and I would expect that since this is the zombie apocalypse she would at least show a little surprise! I like her dress, since it looks like there are bullets strapped to it like the machine guns have those bullets that are strapped around someone’s chest and torso, but overall the dress is a little blurry. In addition, I don’t understand what is on Charlie’s arms—whether that is dust and grime or pock marks or simply like dust clouds that you were editing over. And lastly, as much as I love this photo, for some reason I don’t really see the “zombie” in the “zombie apocalypse.” It looks more just like a war scene where with some weird black blobs flying low behind her body. So like I said, overall it’s nice but I wouldn’t say it SCREAMS zombie apocalypse.

Brook’s Comments: I don’t find your image very ‘high fashion’ or very Zombie Apocalyptic, Charlie seems very calm and she really doesn’t look much like a zombie she looks relatively human still which is a bit of a disappointment being as your other images have fit the assignment very well. I think that the background is a bit messy like you have just thrown a bunch of images together to create this one big mass... I honestly have no idea what that is on her arm, it just doesn’t fit. The only thing I really like about your image is the cropped in dress, I'm quite disappointed...

Elasticgirl Comments: First off, this is FRICKIN AMAZING! Second off, this is MY FAVORITE PHOTO! Third off, as amazing as this photo is there are just a few things that nag me about it. Aside from the part that you literally blew my socks off because this is so amazingly edited, here’s the thing. Your photo does not look high fashion at all. And that’s a huge bummer since this is a fashion competition as well (but obviously I didn’t take off a lot of points for it). Now what bothers me the most about this photo is that I don’t see your model in it AT ALL! There is literally no resemblance and to me, it looks like you just created a robot that could be or might not be related at all to Jasmine. And so that’s what I think was the worst thing about this photo! I wish there was some sort of humanistic characteristic about her that would show THIS ROBOT IS JASMINE!!!! So other than those minor things, this is sooooooo amazing I am seriously blown away. Bravo.

Brook’s Comments: As I said before your image is absolutely amazing! I love the robotic look you have given Jasmine, you can really see the effort you have put into this- Jasmine fits the background like it was made for her. To me it looks like you have kinda mixed the Zombie Apocalypse and the Robotic Future together to create such a stunning image, my reason for this is the background seems a little chaotic and Jasmine is holding it her palms what I think are her robotic powers (?!) the only thing I dislike is that she has no facial expression which is a bit of a letdown, a fierce look would have fitted this theme, I also think that it’s a bit dark around the front and Jasmine looks like she’s floating O_O

Elasticgirl Comments: I think you made this assignment the most high fashion of all the other entries! I seriously love how you created a beautiful ugly fashion world in a zombie apocalypse! It is crazy cool! I love your model’s expression and her makeup and all the blood. Everything is really pretty high fashion about it! But there are a few things that can be improved on. For example, I think you could’ve made this picture more vertical and showed maybe some dead bodies that she was walking over. I think it would’ve been better vertical since like I said, we would also get to see her full extended body and not just her hips and up. In addition, the people look a little weird and I don’t think they really fit in. I honestly don’t think they look anything like zombies or dazzled/dying paparazzi. And lastly, I think if you had more resemblance of zombies than just blood this photo would be exceptional. For example, the perfect thing for that would be to make those two people look kind of crazy and more like zombies. Man gurl, with these minor adjustments, your photo could be the top for the week!

Brook’s Comments: I love the creativity of your image, a Zombie fashion show is a great outtake on this assignment but I can’t really see the ‘Apocalypse’ look about this... The blood splatters are very clear that they a Photoshop brushes as they don’t even look like blood, they look like paint splatters. The positive side is Kea looks very ‘Zombie-fied’ and really quite scary but the hair and dress makes this looks very elegant and high fashion. I really hoped you could do a better job.

Elasticgirl Comments: I don’t know, there’s something I love about this photo and I can’t quite put my finger on it. I love the blur effect around your model and the sword—she really looks like she is in motion and if there is an explosion in the back which is blowing her forward towards the viewer. It looks kind of 3D I guess. Also I love the story and your editing. It’s so creative!!!!! And I love your model! Ahh she is gorgeous, the hair drawing is perfect, the makeup is awesome, and you included a zombie-esque beauty to the photo which I also really like. Which reminds me, this is very high fashion! I think it is because of the angle and the fluidity in her movement with her arms, face, torso, and legs in addition to her makeup and the fact that although she is dead and was disguised as a zombie she is still frickin gorgeous on the inside!!! Bravo! The only thing I don’t like is the sword. It doesn’t fit in with the whole future thing because I would hardly imagine during a zombie apocalypse swords would be used….but aside from the sword I really like this photo. Awesome job and I am so proud of you! I think you redeemed yourself.

Brook’s Comments: Well for one thing I love your hair drawing; it looks very natural and realistic, but what the heck are those blurry, smudgy bits all round her body?! It really does ruin the quality of your image.
Also you have gone a little bit blur-happy on her skin, it is also a bit bright compared to the background that she is in and the shadow under her chin looks like her head is a bit mutated or falling off her neck... but I like the scales that are covering her as clothing, and her mouldy skin gives her a zombie look, the blood on the sword through her body looks a bit too bright, well she’s technically a zombie shouldn’t it be black? The sword is a bit bright too....

Elasticgirl Comments: Okay, I think you know that you are being eliminated and I really hate doing this but you are jeopardized. I understand you are really busy and I don’t blame you for this at all—everyone’s lives are very very crazy and we have to deal with it. But I just don’t like that you kind of photoskinned. First of all, your model is not white—she has beautiful chocolate skin and this girl in the photo is very very white…like white chocolate. Also, her face is looks different from Gladice’s face and all together the only resemblance is the hair color. In addition, the body is too blurry and not well edited. Sooooo yeah aside from hitting the high fashion aspect of this photo, it lacks a lot of things in addition to looking as if you face plastered (but I don’t think you did because I still see parts of Gladice in the face). The body is also choppily edited and the blue lighting is very off.

Brook’s Comments: Is that a real body you have put Gladice’s head onto? This absolutely doesn’t show any of your touch onto this, I understand that you didn’t have enough time on your hands to create a more creative or appropriate picture, because I know you can do better. The cropping in very messy and Gladice’s face is badly blended into the ‘real face’, but at least you can see this image is Robotic Future. I wouldn’t be surprised if you did go, I would be sorry if you did because you are a very hard working contestant and you have produced very beautiful and creative pictures in the past.

Elasticgirl Comments: Awesome job! I love the theme you created. I have to say, you made it very high fashion and I love the editing on her arm and how half her arm is missing. I really like everything about it but her pose is just a tad bit off. For example, she looks like she is standing very awkwardly and I think you need to work on the pose a little to make it more high fashion while still being something so ugly and dead and falling apart. But other than that, although her size is disproportionate to the background and the background looks way too realistic, I like this photo. Nice job and I am so happy you covered the high fashion aspect so well and made your model pretty much a beautiful ugly zombie. Bravo!

Brook’s Comments: I love the look and pose you have given Imogen she looks very ‘zombie-fied’, I would’ve like to see more blood and gore all over her body and dripping from her amputated arm, and I kinda thought the cuts on her neck were a hand until I zoomed in... Awkward xD
I don’t really find the background apocalyptic in anyway, there is no chaos! We need fire, dead people, falling buildings and blood (everywhere) I think that Imogen looks a little tall too against the garage doors and the street light. I think you have done a great job on portraying her as a zombie though!

Elasticgirl Comments: Ookie nice job! I really like your model the most. I love how high fashion and ugly beautiful she it. You nailed that! The pose is excellent too. I love her hair, makeup, and the blood. But what I don’t like is the background and her heart. First of all, it’s not well edited since it looks like her heart was just copied and pasted over her chest and under her shirt. Also the shadows around her shirt where her heart is needs to be more prominent. And I would expect that if her heart was open like that under her shirt there would be some blood on her shirt. And lastly, I don’t really like the car behind her. It looks kind of cheesy and then it’s just really weird and doesn’t really flow smoothly with the whole zombie theme.

Brook’s Comments: Can I just say the quality and the graphics of your game is amazing! Everything is so clear and defined, and I'm so glad that someone used that hair; I was hoping that someone would... and that someone happens to be you, I love how you have given Elizabeth chunks of flesh ripped out if her like on her chest where you can see her internal organs. I think the blood looks a bit too fake and bright, it should be a darker than that as she’s kinda ‘dead’ at the moment. At first I wondered why there was this random flying car behind her but then I read the story of it on face book and it turns out that its flying off a ramp and straight for her, but I kind of think that she looks a bit too clam seeing as a car is heading straight for her but I guess once you’re dead nothing fazes you... I really like Elizabeth’s appearance as a zombie it really fits her xD
